Corporate Espionage Threats to Your Organization Jeffery Stutzman
Topic: Security Audience: All audiences
Description: Not every attack on your system is the result of a three hundred pound
seventeen year old kid banging away on a keyboard in his bedroom.
Competitive intelligence and corporate espionage personnel make a nice
living by scouring the Internet in support of strategic programs for
their clientele. Many times, scouring the web is not enough.
This presentation will begin with a 20-30 minute overview of
competitive intelligence programs in several countries,
including governmental and non-governmental tactics used to exploit your
information for their own profit. The second portion of the presentation
will discuss the attack continuum and it's part in triangulation
analysis -two ways of identifying competitive threats to your critical
information. Part III is an introduction to Predictive analysis. Appendix A
outlines useful tools for performing analysis.
Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this talk. The talk is designed to offer new security administrators or CIOs an eye-opening view of large-scale economic espionage threats targeting their organization's critical information.
