Description: Why do some businesses seem to thrive on the Internet while others are closing their electronic doors? What is the appropriate investment in IT (infrastructure, applications, data and knowledge management, research) for an enterprise? The speaker will expose the audience to techniques for determining the IT investment and aligning those investments with the business model. He will provide an examination of IT benchmarks and discuss various business models in order to understand investment alternatives and measure the estimated impact of IT on the business.
A modelling tool will be presented if there is adequate interest and time.
