Re: password aging with solaris
I thought about this after I sent my first email, but I should have said WHY it
would not work. The problem is that we the passwd aging expires, login uses the
passwd command to try and update the password. This will update the entry in
/etc/passwd, but since it is an NIS entry that is timing out there is no
/etc/passwd entry. So you get an error. To change passwords in NIS, the yppasswd
command needs to be used.
