The story I heard was that they finally found the 'e' that Ken Thompson
had lost from the 'creat' command.
Seriously, I think they just added it because "Sage" sounds so much
cooler than SAG. They picked the name and then tried to come up with an
acronym to make it work. "System Administrator's Guild" sounded cool
too, someone remembered the 'e' from create and the inconsistancy was
solved.
It least, that's the way I heard it. Are there witnesses/participants
here to confirm or deny?
