I'm not real familar with the Palm IIIc or a
Handspring Visor, but I know that there are vt100
modules for the Palm V and that you can use it as a
serial device hooked up to a router, switch or a
server and then debug that way.

Checkout topgun ssh which is also a ssh implementation
for the Palm pilots and they are certain to have a
list of solutions to do what you want:

There is also minstrel wireless cradle that might work
