RE: [SAGE] Hardware Firewalls



Well if you like Checkpoint how about the Sofaware (www.sofaware.com) or 
Intrustion PDS 2xxx series. I've used both a little with decent success 
and if you have Checkpoint already you can manage 'em with your Checkpoint 
management station which is a win. I've also used the baby Nokia (IP51 and 
IP71) which I didn't like as much but work mostly fine.




If you don't have Checkpoint and/or need the central management of your 
rulebase then the little Netscreen 5xx boxes don't look bad to me.




All of these are in the $250 - $900 street price range though which may be 
more than he is looking for.
