Hi David,

I've never been much of a fan of Faq-O-Matic either; I find its
interface to be clunky from the user's perspective.

If you or anyone else uses RT (Request Tracker) which is a great
enterprise-evel, ticket-based request management system
(www.bestpractical.com/rt or somesuch) there is an add-on module called
RTFM (Request Tracker FAQ Manager, heheh) which is essentially a
knowledge base system. I don't know if it's appropriate or not as I've
not had a chance to try it (we're still using RT 2.0.15 and haven't
migrated to 3 yet, where RTFM is available)

Going a bit further afield, have you considered using a Wiki? Wikis have
a bit more of an anarchist feel to them -- anarchy in the Chomsky sense,
i.e. democratically controlled from below, by the masses, not the
commonly accepted meaning of "chaos". Of course, as the administrator,
you can still control who has write access to the Wiki, but you could
grant that access to your own staff, so that the docs would just evolve
as time went on.

Anyway, just some food for thought. Hope it wasn't totally useless. :)
