Re: [SAGE] Anyone out there using a Fujitsu Lifebook?

Trey :

I have bought two different earlier models. My son has been using a
mid-weight model for the last two - three years while he was at Bowling
Green State University here in Ohio. He graduated with it still intact and
working just fine with no issues during his use. A year later I bought my
own unit a Model E-6665. More of a desktop replacement unit. His unit runs
Win 98 and I run Win 2k Pro.

I bought these units because a friend who does rugged systems recommended
this make. He says that they can take some punishment better than other
manufactures without being specifically called a ruggedized unit.
Understand you still need to take care of the unit. Fujitsu probably makes
90 to 100 % of the parts used in these units.

Well that is my two cents for now and if you have any other questions,
please ask them. I will try to answer them.

Sincerely,

Harvey Rothenberg.

This would be like the the old mini laptop from Toshiba that was a full
working laptop system only smaller.

I also think that it might make a cool impression with clients / potential
employers.

Closest idea to a clam shell palmtop with a keyboard like the Psion 5 or
Nokia 9210/9290. IMHO, The Transmeta processor still has longer life on a
battery than even the newer Intel processor. I ask you do you really use
or see the perfomance difference between intel and transmeta ? I say the
difference is not noticable by the human eye.
