This is probably just a typo/thinko but these should be 
    /var/cfengine/inputs/update.conf	and
    /var/cfengine/inputs/cfservd.conf

> editfiles:

cfagent run in daemon mode will also auto-execute every hour by default.

I can't help commenting on your use of "editfiles:" here -- see
http://mail.gnu.org/archive/html/help-cfengine/2003-12/msg00019.html
for the full rant, but suffice it to say I think it's a bad idiom
to get used to.

Yep... and never underestimate the power of cfengine to make, in a fully
convergent and automated fashion, hundreds of systems totally useless.
