Welcome!

Quite possibly, though I suspect that the best suggestion I have for you
at this point is to start becoming familiar with the mailing lists at
FreeBSD.org. [Direct a Web browser to

subscription options, or unsubscribe.]
>What is measurement should we report daily/weekly/monthly?
I am not clear on what your questions mean. I presume that you wish to
manage some aspect of the FreeBSD systems, and that you therefore wish
to measure something. What is it you wish to measure?
>And what specialization there is in FreeBSD system administration?
Extreme. :-} Some firms use FreeBSD systems to run some of the busier
publicly-visible systems on the Net (Yahoo!, for example). My own
experience has mostly been supporting developers who were using FreeBSD
on their desktops, as well as as a base OS for an appliance.

I'm sorry I probably wasn not able to help as much as either of us would
like. Please feel free to follow up, either privately or on the list.
Peace,
david (current hat: postmaster@freebsd.org)

Evidence of curmudgeonliness: becoming irritated with the usage of the
word "speed" in contexts referring to quantification of network
performance, as opposed to "bandwidth" or "latency."
