Regretfully, I've reached the point in my career where most
conferences I might be interested in aren't very useful to me as a
participant looking at the official tracks of papers, invited talks,
and tutorials. The "hallway track" tends to be the biggest benefit I
get, and by itself that is not enough to get me to come to a
conference.

Now, if I'm a speaker and the conference is paying at least part
of my way, or I'm there as part of a book promotion tour, that's a
different matter.

But I would definitely be inclined to send as many co-workers as
I could, and I like being able to access all the papers as soon as
they are online.

I'm hoping to be able to do more than just glance at _;login:_.
I've been a bit behind on my reading and haven't kept up with the
last few issues, but I hope to rectify that, too.

	That's a statement that I support 100%.
