[SAGE] RE: [sage-governance] Jones request
Actually, you *could* do this alone. A LOPSA board vote to accept the
October 28th decision of the USENIX board would end the uncertainty. I
believe that the many SAGE members who have written to me and to these
lists supporting our decision would then likewise thank you for doing
your part. There's no need to keep trying to drag this out.

the LOPSA board welcomes the opportunity to abate the general
level of uncertainty. unfortunately, we cannot do that alone. we would
be happy to work with usenix on a joint statement about the
two organisations re-engaging in negotiating an agreement.
we would welcome the opportunity to proceed with the negotiation.
this seems to be the overwhelming sentiment of the members expressed
over the last week, and lets us get this process finished.
