As a matter of interest, does migration to an Intel/AMD platform always go
hand-in-hand with a move to Linux or BSD? Why not stay with Solaris/x86?
Licensing/support costs? Hardware support? (I ask out of idle curiosity
because, and this is probably just a subjective bias based on experience
to date, I get a warm, fuzzy feeling from Solaris that I don't get with
Linux.)
