That DC with the 40" raised floor was on top of a small mountain. It 
just so happened that there was a spring that came up in the corner of 
the room (yes, at almost the peak of the mountain), and although weak 
and infrequent, at one point put about a foot of water under the raised 
floor.

Very exciting, especially when the 208V/400A Russell&Stoll mainframe 
power connector (among many others!) were lying on that floor - *two* 
sump pumps were added to prevent a recurrence. Those old R&S connectors 
were built and sealed quite well - no one (or thing) got fried, but it 
took a while to clean up and dry out.

Yes, water is a problem - even where you'd least expect it!
