HR people..... One of the reason I became a contractor is that I would get
interviews with companies for very interresting jobs, would have great
interviews with the technical managers and staff but then would get
refused for the position by the HR people. I got tired of that, and
started to look exclusively for contracting positions, refusing interviews
for permanent position. I got a contract on my first interview... make
sense since I didn't have to talk to any HR people. And this has worked
fine for me for the past 11 years.

This is a huge problem for me because I have a young family which make
travelling most inconvenient, and with the market as slow as it is, I am
seriously considering of going back to permanent employement once my
current contract is finished... and yes I fear those HR people.
