This is getting ridiculous. Everyone is getting defensive 
and insults are being exchanged.

Before this goes any further, do any of you actually KNOW what the 
specific, documented SOx requirements are? Without this information,
which has not been spelled out at all in this thread other than
some vague idea of what the requirements are, this is just an
argument over claims made in an email, and semantics.

At this point, I don't really care if sudosh is a gift from god or 
if syslog sucks and is so unsecure that it makes swiss cheese look 
like the ideal material from which to construct castle defenses.

I do care about this forum though, and preserving some sense of decorum.

I think this type of petty bickering is destructive to the SAGE
community. 

Please, no more insults or "ganging up." Apologies are in order.

And before anyone can flame me, I apologize for having to send
this sort of message. If you want to send hate mail, please do it
privately.

We're all mature enough to have a civilized discussion.
